The big green bike ride
Cycling for seals - plus the best of Hampshire's hills
Big green bike ride 2018 is in Hampshire
Every year some of our intrepid (and fit) staff, customers and supporters have pedalled their way around local roads to raise money for local charities. Last year we cycled and ran around the Isle of Wight starting from East Cowes Marina, and this year the ride will start at Haslar Marina and take in Deacons Marina and some of Hampshire's finest rolling countryside.
We'll be raising funds for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust's Secrets of the Solent project, helping to understand, educate and protect the marine environment in the Solent. Last year we raised enough funds to support the annual seal survey.
If you would like to stretch your muscles on a fun ride, you are most welcome to join us. We'll be meeting at Haslar Marina at 0830 before heading off to Deacons Marina in Bursledon for bacon butties. From Deacons there will be a choice of two rides, one epic 65 mile loop into the South Downs, and the other of around 30 miles. Just call Ben Lippiett at Haslar Marina on 02392 601 201 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you'd prefer to make a donation and support us from the sofa, we'd be delighted! Cash or cheques accepted at any marina office, or use our Virgin Money page.
