Home Front Weekend
Go back in time to the 1940s at Nothe Fort
Experience Living History with Home Front ‘Dad’s Army’ re-enactors, The Home Front Museum (which will include a 1940s wedding display), Churchill’s Secret Army, displays of 1940s fashion, Pathe Newsreels from the war years and an exhibition of photographs from Weymouth in the 1940s – and much more.
Take part in traditional games including the coconut shy, hoopla, splat the rat and roll a penny. Visitors are encouraged to dress in a 1940s style!
And there's more...
Also on the bank holiday weekend is the popular Fayre in the Square in old Weymouth - on the route between the marina and the Nothe - plus gig racing in the harbour.
There's Weymouth's first inflatable theme park at Redlands Community Sports Hub - very useful for tiring the younger crew members.
There will be Punch and Judy on the beach and at 9.45pm on Sunday there will be fireworks. Fantastic!
To book a berth, contact Weymouth Marina on 01305 866190, or stay at Portland Marina and catch the ferry or bus.
