Great South Run
10 mile run around Southsea and Portsmouth
Take part, help fund raise or cheer-on the runners
The Great South Run is one of the UK's best-known running events, with lots of local and national charities benefitting from fundraising runners.
Starting and finishing on Southsea Common on Sunday, the 10-mile course is mostly flat and includes the streets of Old Portsmouth and through the Historic Dockyard.
If you're in Haslar Marina, take the green Gosport Ferry across to Portsmouth and walk along to Southsea or stay at the Hard - the runners will pass you on their way into the Dockyard.
There are lots of good vantage points to cheer on the runners, and you can combine some cheering with Sunday shopping or a pint in one of Portsmouth's historic pubs.
The elite runners start from 10.15am, with subsequent starts through to 11.15am.
On Saturday there is a 5k run, junior events and even a 2.5k canine run - you don't have to be an athlete to enjoy the Simply Health Great South Run weekend!
