The marina office is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. During the summer months, the office is open from 7.30am until half an hour after the last bridge lift. During the winter months, the office is usually open from 8.30am until 5.30pm. If staff are out checking boats or assisting a vessel, they can normally be contacted on VHF Ch. 80, or on 01305 767576 with an automatic diversion to a mobile phone.
The marina has excellent washroom facilities located on the first floor of the marina building. The washrooms are laid out in private cubicles, each with its own shower, WC, washbasin and hairdryer. There are also separate male and female WCs. An accessible/family washroom, complete with baby changing facilities, is located on the ground floor.
The main marina gate is controlled by a security code which is changed on a regular basis. Berth holders and visitors will be informed of any change.
Trolleys can be found at the top of the main access ramp and require a £1 coin or €1 deposit for their use.
A laundry room complete with large capacity washer and dryer is located in the marina building and is available 24 hours a day. Washing powder is available from the marina office.
Berth holders and visitors who are leaving vessels at Weymouth are required to leave a set of keys with the marina office. This means that staff can access the boat in the unlikely event of any problems – and if you forget your keys, you don’t have to go all the way home again! Keys will only be released to the named owner or pre-arranged friends or contractors.
All berths are supplied with a metered electricity point. Berth holders will be allocated an individual metered socket. You can supply your own padlock and lock your plug in or the socket closed. Please remember to leave a key with the marina office.
The water supplies on the pontoons are all potable and are checked regularly for water quality.
Gas bottles can be exchanged at several places locally; please ask at the marina reception for directions.
From the end of May 2009, on-water petrol and diesel, along with sewage pump-out, will be available at nearby Portland Marina. There will be a discount on fuel sales for all Dean & Reddyhoff berth holders.
Ice can be purchased from the marina office priced at £1.50 per bag.
A free of charge internet cafe is available in the marina reception area during normal office hours.
Wireless broadband internet access is also available throughout all Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas. This service is provided by BT OpenZone. For more please ask at the marina office or visit http://www.btopenzone.com/
Recycling bins are located in the marina car park area, which take all the following types of waste:
All these materials are collected together in a single container and separated later at the reprocessing plant.
There are several large waste containers for domestic refuse situated at the access ramp.
A waste oil tank is also available for old fuel, oil, etc.
Weymouth Marina has an open policy towards contractors working on your boat. Contractors are allowed free access, so long as they are adequately insured for all third party risks and do not cause a nuisance to other berth holders. Please let the marina office know in advance if you wish your keys to be handed out.
There is a public slipway situated just to the south of Weymouth Marina. Please contact Weymouth Harbour Master on 01305 838423 for current charges for use.
As a working port and lively yachting centre Weymouth has a good range of marine services available including chandleries, boat repair facilities and yacht clubs all within easy reach of the marina.
If you are departing for, or arriving from, any country outside the EU, a customs form C1331 will need to be completed. This includes those travelling to and from the Channel Islands. Forms are available from the marina office or from the HM Revenue & Customs website.
