factoid.pngInteresting fact...

The name for The Boat That Rocks Bar and Restaurant was inspired by the filming, a few years ago, of the Richard Curtis film ‘ The Boat That Rocked’. The filming was carried out in the Portland area, and used lots of local people and lots of local boats. A silly film. But did you know that the famous Cowes rigging company Spencer Rigging (now routinely do rigs for J Boats and stuff) started off rigging the Pirate radio ships. Their aerial masts were 200ft high, and fell down occasionally in bad weather.
