Marina Information
Marina Office
The marina office is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Normal office hours are from 8am – 9pm. If the marina staff are out checking boats, they can be contacted on VHF channel 80, or on: 08454 30 2012
Security
A card or fob is issued to permanent berth holders giving access to the car park, pontoons, washrooms and laundry. There is also a coded keypad system at the main pedestrian gate and an intercom system at all gates.
The marina and its shore-side areas are monitored continuously by a CCTV system and there are berthing staff in attendance 24 hours a day.
Trolleys
Trolleys are available from the car park. A £1 or €1 coin is required to release the trolley, which will be returned when the trolley is refastened at one of the designated areas. If you have a heavy or awkward load, please ask a member of staff to help you.
Should a trolley accidentally fall into the water, we will be only too happy to recover it and refund your £1! Please help your fellow marina users and promptly return your trolley after use. Trolleys must be used responsibly, no person is permitted to be carried in the trolley. The company accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from its use.
Fuel

The marina has its own fuel berth on the end of T pontoon, supplying petrol and diesel.
Regulations on the supply and type of Red Diesel have recently changed. In a nutshell, the sulphur content of diesel supplied for use on coastal waters (1000ppm) is now different from diesel supplied to inland waterways (10ppm). Our supply remains the same, but for more info try this article from the RYA.
All of our diesel comes with Soltron, a fuel enzyme that improves the quality of the diesel. Please click on the link for more infomation.
All Dean & Reddyhoff berth holders receive a discount on fuel sales at Portland Marina.
Electricity & Water
All berths are supplied with a metered electrical point. The sockets have a locking system which enables you to lock your plug in or to lock the socket closed. You will need to supply a padlock for this system - please give a key to the marina office.
The water supplies on the pontoons are all potable.
Gas
Gas is available from the on-site chandlery during normal working hours. Ask at the marina office for out of hours arrangements.
Toilets and Showers
Portland Marina has extensive high quality showers and washroom facilities, including a baby changing unit and accessible/family washroom. Please do not use your boat’s sea toilet in the marina.
Waste and Recycling
Recycling bins are located at the marina’s waste collection points on ‘G’ pontoon and in the car park (see map). All of the following types of waste can be recycled:
• Cardboard
• Paper (including newspapers & magazines)
• Cans – all types
• Glass
• Plastic bottles
• All types of plastic packaging (including carrier bags & food containers)
• Telephone directories
There is also an area set aside for the recycling of waste engine oil, oil filters and batteries. Please ask at the marina reception for details.
Internet access

Three PCs are available for use free of charge in the marina reception area during normal office hours. Wireless broadband internet access is also available throughout all Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas. This service is provided by BT Openzone. For more details please ask at the marina office or go to: www.btopenzone.com
Ice
Ice is available from the marina office.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are located in the main marina building. Washing powder is available from the marina reception.
Keys
Berth holders and visitors who are leaving vessels at Portland are required to leave a set of keys with the marina office. This means that staff can access the boat in the event of any problems – and if you forget your keys, you don’t have to go all the way home again! Keys will only be released to the named owner or pre-arranged friends or contractors.
Weymouth Bike Hire
Following the route of an old railway line, the Rodwell Trail is a flat footpath/cyclepath linking Weymouth Town Centre and Portland Harbour. The names of the old stations are marked along the way and there are great views across the harbour. Visit Weymouth Bike Hire's website for more information and other routes.
