Weymouth YOBS (Youths On Boats)

Friday the 28th May, Richard and Mary Reddyhoff joined the YOBs (Youths on Boats) to name their new safety boat. Dean and Reddyhoff Marinas donated the money from the proceeds of last year's Weymouth & Portland Marinas Bertholders party to the YOBs so they could buy the boat and trailer. They can now get more youngsters on the water with this extra safety cover. Mary named the boat "Michelle" because she was impressed with the amount of time Michelle Samways puts in to helping with the YOBs. Michelle runs the safety cover for the YOBs and also looks after the RIB at Dean and Reddyhoff's Portland Marina amongst other duties. Mary told the youngsters she hoped they appreciated the time that the YOB helpers give up to make sure they get to go sailing. Mariquita – 33m (19 metres class) berthed here at Haslar Marina for the classic yacht racing that will take place in the Solent during June. Mariquita will be joined on E hammer-head by the 48m schnooner Eleonora in a week or so.
Hugo Boss

Hugo Boss running tests in Haslar Marina after a comprehensive refit. A new deck and mast mast have been added. (Previously the boat had deck spreaders). She left shortly after these photos were taken and is currently in London ready for her official launch party this weekend.
