Haslar is graced by the 42m American superyacht, Rebecca and the classic 37m yacht Thendara that happened to be passing by. It seems that the news of Haslar Marina's new hammerhead is spreading far and wide!

PSP Southampton Boatshow 2010

The 2010 edition of the PSP Southampton Boatshow is almost upon us! Running from 10th to the 19th September, staff from all four Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas will man our stand number E 042. We're looking forward to seeing all our friends both old and new on the stand this year!

Haslar Bertholder Party - A Huge Success

The Haslar Crew hosted just over 300 berth holders and their friends at our annual Haslar Berth Holder party on the 14th August; which this year was themed as ‘Desert Island Madness’. Our wonderful customers raised £1740 for charity, of which we will be donating 80% to the Gosport Sea Cadets (who will now be able to purchase a few more kayaks to complete their fleet) and 20% to the Free Wheelers who’s volunteers transport blood by motorcycle around the country for the NHS. The evening was a great success with all of the guests enjoying complimentary drinks, hog roast and a fantastic jazz band!

Don’t miss out on the event of the year!

We will once again be holding a Summer Berth Holder Bash on the evening of Saturday 14th August 2010 on the lawn adjacent to the Marina Office.

This year we will have a fancy dress theme of “Desert Island Madness”, so please feel free to dress up however you see fit…. we certainly will!

The event will again be free of charge to all berth holders, although as usual we will be asking for a charitable donation. We will be “selling” tickets for just £5.00 per person (payments must be made by cash in advance at the Marina Reception). If you would like to bring along guests, then subject to availability, places will be sold for the nominal sum of £13.00 each. To control numbers there will be a maximum upper limit of 400, including guests. We are very proud to announce that all of the proceeds will go to charity; 80% to the local Sea Cadets and 20% to our Finance Manager’s charity, The Freewheelers EVS (Emergency Voluntary Service).

To contend with the unpredictability of the British summer, there will be a specially erected marquee on the lawn overlooking the marina to assist in housing the event. The evening reception will include; Complimentary Bar, Hog Roast and a Live Jazz Band. The evening will begin at 6.45pm with High Tea (and Piňata) for the younger children and the bar will open shortly after at 7.30pm.

Eleonora

Eleonora (launched 2000) has joined Mariquita (launched 1911) at Haslar Marina ready for the Westward Cup classic yacht racing in the Solent, from 5th to the 10th July. Eleonora measures 49.5m overall and has a waterline length of just 29.3m. She is an exact replica of the schooner Westward; which was undoubtedly the fastest schooner in the world in 1910.
