Spinnaker TowerOn the waterfront of Gunwharf Quays, you can’t miss the Spinnaker Tower soaring 170 metres above Portsmouth Harbour and the Solent. The tower is open daily (except Christmas Day) and offers amazing 350ยบ panoramic views across the South Coast and the Isle of Wight.
The dockyard is home to three world famous ships that have shaped British history: HMS Victory, the Mary Rose & HMS Warrior 1860. Other attractions include The Royal Naval Museum and the Navy’s interactive showcase ‘Action Stations’.
To get there simply take the 3 minute Gosport Ferry ride across the harbour to Portsmouth. The Dockyard is located on the left, just a minute’s walk away. When you leave the ferry turn left at the small bus station.
The Gosport Waterfront Trail is the perfect way to explore historic Gosport under your own steam. Follow the chain motif to guide you along the 3km route between Gosport’s main attractions
Step on board a real submarine and find out more about life below the sea… The Royal Navy Submarine Museum is just a short walk from Haslar Marina and is open every day except between Christmas and New Year.
Set in Gosport’s former gunpowder and munitions depot, ‘Explosion!’ is an interactive museum telling the story of naval warfare from the Battle of Trafalgar to the Gulf War. Open weekends only, 10am-4pm.

Built between 1867-1878, Spitbank Fort is a sea fort situated one mile off the Hampshire coastline. The fort is open to visitors for day trips, meals and special events on selected dates only.
