Marina information
Marina office
The marina office is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Normal office hours are from 8am – 9pm every day.
Security
A card is issued to permanent berth holders giving access to the car park and pontoons. For visitors there is a numbered keypad system at the main pedestrian gate and an intercom system at all gates.
The marina is monitored continuously by CCTV and there are berthing staff in attendance 24 hours a day.
Toilets and showers
Haslar Marina offers extensive high quality washroom facilities. The washrooms are laid out in private cubicles, each with its own shower, WC, washbasin and hairdryer. There are also separate male and female WCs.
The washrooms are situated across the marina at ‘A’ and ‘G’ pontoons and onboard the Lightship. An accessible/family washroom, complete with a baby changing unit is located at ‘A’ pontoon
Trolleys
Trolleys are available from the car park and ‘G’ pontoon on the marina. A £1 or €1 coin is required to release the trolley, which is refunded when the trolley is returned.
Electricity
All berths are supplied with a metered electricity point. A separate electricity supply is available for visitors.
Water
The water supplies on the pontoons are all potable and are checked regularly for water quality.
Gas
Solent Yacht Charter 023 9260 2708 provide a gas bottle exchange on 4.5 litre and '907' bottles. The marina runs this out of hours, so we should be able to look after you at anytime, 24 hours a day. For more exotic bottles please get in touch with our local chandlery, You Boat at Endeavour Quay, 023 9252 2226.
Fuel
The nearest fuel berth is just five minutes up the harbour at Gosport Marina.
Waste and recycling
We now use Veolia for our general waste, who send all waste to an Energy Recovery Facility, where it is burned at such a high temperature that there is no smoke. Up to 70,000 homes are powered with electricity by the process and glass (which should be put in general waste bins please) will be recovered to make roads and pavements etc. We are delighted to say that nothing from the marina goes to landfill.
Recycling bins are located at the marina’s waste collection points on ‘A’ and ‘G’ pontoons and in the visitors’ area to the stern of the Lightship. All the following types of waste can be recycled:
* Cardboard
* Paper (including newspapers & magazines)
* Cans – all types
* Plastic bottles
* All types of plastic packaging (including carrier bags & food containers)
* Fruit juice and milk cartons
* Foil
* Telephone directories
There is also an area set aside for the recycling of waste engine oil, oil filters and batteries.
Internet access
A PC is available for use free of charge in the marina reception area during normal office hours.
Wireless broadband internet access is also available throughout all Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas. This service is provided by BT Openzone.
Ice
Ice is available from the marina reception priced at £1.50 per bag.
Laundry
There are two laundries, one at either end of the marina. The cost is £1.50 per wash or dry cycle in denominations of £1 and 50p coins. Washing powder is available from the vending machine on board the Lightship or from the marina reception.
Mail
Incoming mail for berth holders is kept in the office for collection (for a maximum of 45 days).
There is a post box near the loading bay in the car park. Last collection is at 4pm.
Dry berthing
Haslar Marina has a dry berthing facility operated by Seaway Marine. 023 9260 2722
Public slipway
The slipway in the overflow car park is for use by berth holders and the general public. There is no charge for its use, but please take care when launching or recovering. This is particularly the case at low tides without a suitable four wheel drive vehicle. Trailers may be stored at the top of the slipway for a maximum of 48 hours.
