The marina office is open every day of the year. During the summer months, the office is open from 8am until 8pm. During the winter months, the office is usually open from 8am until 6pm. Should the marina staff be out checking boats, they can be contacted on VHF channel 80, or on +44 (0)1983 293 983 with an automatic diversion to a mobile phone.
SecurityMaintaining the security of the marina site is a primary aim. An electronic proximity fob is issued to permanent berth holders giving access to the pontoons and washroom facilities. There are also security gates at each entry point to the marina. The entire marina, gates and carpark areas are continuously monitored by a CCTV system.
The new washroom facilities at East Cowes are of the highest standard. The facilities include an accessible/family washroom, complete with baby changing facilities.
A £1 or €1 deposit is required to unlock a trolley. If you have heavy or awkward loads, please ask a member of staff for assistance and they will be happy to help.
A number of operators provide a water taxi service between East and West Cowes and there is a designated pick-up point in the marina.
The water supplies on the pontoons are potable and are regularly inspected for quality.
All berths are supplied with electricity points. Currently there are both metered and card operated bollards. The metered supplies are read on a regular basis and berth holders are invoiced quarterly. Card operated supplies can be activated by purchasing a card from the marina office.
Fuel is available from the fuel barge of Cowes Harbour Fuels, located on the west side of the river just south of the chain ferry.
Lallow’s Boatyard also supplies fuel from its pontoons just south of Cowes Yacht Haven.
Supplies of bottled gas are available from the on-site chandlers during normal office hours and from the marina office at other times. Cowes Harbour Fuels also supply Calor gas from their barge in the river.
There are two locations within the marina for disposing of domestic refuse: the compound in the centre of the car park and the waste containers on the pontoons in the visitor area.
All waste collected at the marina is put through the Isle of Wight’s Resource Recovery Facility. This new system separates out metal for recycling and extracts all the combustible elements (paper, plastic film, plastic bags, polystyrene, and other packaging wastes) for conversion into fuel. This is then used to generate electricity for around 3,000 homes on the island.
The only recyclable materials that cannot be collected through this scheme are glass and cardboard. Separate bins for recycling glass bottles and cardboard can be found in the compound in the car park.
There are also facilities for disposing of waste oil.
Ice is available from the marina office priced at £1.50 per bag.
The marina office will happily accept incoming mail if it is appropriately addressed to include the boat name. Mail will be held for a maximum of 45 days. Stamped outgoing mail is also accepted.
The marina facilities building includes a laundry complete with washer, drier and Belfast sink. Washing powder is available from the marina office.
There is a public telephone located in the entrance lobby of the marina building. It will accept 10p to £1 coins.
Two PCs are available free of charge in the marina reception area during normal office hours.
Wireless broadband internet access is also available throughout all Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas. This service is provided by BT OpenZone.
