Cowes Sailability Club
We support Cowes Sailability Club through providing reduced cost berthing at East Cowes Marina and in 2010 we donated the funds raised at the berth holders party to the Club. Cowes Sailability Club was formed to promote and facilitate water sports for Island people with disabilities. They were awarded a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the MBE for voluntary groups in 2010.

Oliver Rofix
Oliver Rofix was lucky to have survived LEUKAEMIA. He says 'I wouldn't be here without my donor and the support of family, friends and the various organisations dedicated to defeating this terrible illness. Now I want to give something back! My Challenge is to recruit 1000 new potential donors to The Anthony Nolan Trust as I sail around the UK. How am I going to do it ? By sailing the boat that I bought just before my transplant, (‘Jolly Olly’ a Valiant 18), around the coastline of Britain in 2011. The voyage will take approx 16 weeks and I will be sailing round the top of Scotland. Stopping every night if possible at a harbour to raise awareness through local media of what I am doing; I am also hoping to meet other young people who have been affected by cancer.

Follow Brians reports on his website.
