You can’t escape the incredible yachting history, and you’ll certainly be surrounded by yacht racing nuts as soon as you enter the River, but continue up the Medina a little further, and it all gets more relaxed; arrive at East Cowes Marina and you’ll find everything very chilled indeed. There’s a brilliant pub there too!
A favourite for rallies, and for visitors looking to explore the Island, it’s also a great place to keep your boat all year round. The water taxis and chain ferry will connect you back to reality should you wish.
