MarineEx 2010 at Portland Marina

3rd July 2010

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th July 2010

Following three very successful years on Weymouth Quayside, MarineEx is moving to Portland Marina. The show had outgrown its original location so the decision to move was taken after careful consideration and with the full encouragement from Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas who see the move as an excellent way of showcasing their new development and promoting the businesses now operating there.

The show organisers, Osprey Marketing, themselves resident at unit 21, have engaged with D & R to ensure the marina functions without interruptions or inconvenience to the residents and berth holders and indeed see it as a great weekend for all concerned.

There will be many exhibitors showing boats and boating equipment plus a large area given over to the blue light services. Those confirmed include the R.N.L.I. who are bringing their Lifeboat simulator, The Marine Police with their latest RIB, M.C.A. & Dorset Fire & Rescues display vehicle.

The Sailing Academy is also getting involved by having dinghy sailing and wind surfing features along with a training camp.

This year’s show has been extended to include a leisure element to attract the non boating public who will be encouraged to join experienced boaters in having a go in one or more of the many boats available for demonstration in the “Try-A –Boat” part of the show.
